GEM Software Development offers a web-based Special Education Case Management System (SCMS) designed to minimize the time required of special education administrators, case managers, and service providers to efficiently administer special education programs. For the Special Education Director:
- Tiered Level Access allows the Special Education Director to set up user accounts at the district, building, case manager and service provider levels, providing access on to records on a need-to-know basis
- A tabbed Menu Bar follows the IEP sequencing process to provide intuitive navigation
- On-line Individual Education Plans (IEP) are designed to meet state requirements
- A School Calendar allows you to administer the program and schedule around school closures and holidays
- The Transfer Student option allows you to exchange demographic information with other GEM users across districts when students move away or new students show up.
- The Report Menu offers a list of Administrative Reports available to you
- The application contains a 504 Module for managing non-special-education students
- The Program Update Notification informs you when program enhancements have been added or modified
